
Bon Crowder, the writer, has been hiding behind the veil of math professor, data scientist and blogger for decades. She’s just now peering from behind that veil to see what life might look like if she called herself a writer.
She’s currently working on a novel based on Ruth Chew’s 1973 middle-grade book What the Witch Left.
Bon grew up thinking she couldn’t read novels – her best friends devoured romance and it took her a while to notice that she bends toward horror, sci-fi and humorous fantasy.
She’s not yet “baked” as a writer, so she might write memoirs one day, a dystopian short story another and a chapter in a low-fantasy fan fiction novel the following week.
Bon is also a mom, wife, sister and daughter – none of which she does terribly well, but she’s working on it.
She still works as a data scientist by day, but dreams of filling her days with writing and doing data science on the sideā¦
